Back when I was a grad student, playing guitar in a crappy band in Manhattan, Kansas, during the early ’90s, “Luftwaffle” was one of the band name ideas we tossed around in the rehearsal room. We finally decided on “Walleye Turnpike” instead… which was clearly a superior choice (since we went on to such great fame and fortune).
